LPBW fans know that dwarfism is in the veins of the Roloffs. Both Amy and Matt are dwarfs, which they have passed on to their son Zach as well. Though the latter and Jeremy are twins, Zach is the only one who inherited dwarfism from his parents. But after learning that Jeremy and Audrey are pregnant again, viewers wonder if there is any chance of their fourth child being a dwarf.

Matt and Amy spread awareness regarding dwarfism with their family show Little People Big World. Apparently, the former has diastrophic dysplasia, while the latter has achondroplasia, which Zach has too. Several reports have confirmed that the kind of dwarfism that the LPBW matriarch has affects one in 20,000 babies, and a new mutation in the clan usually causes this condition in 80 percent of them.
Not only this but there is a 50 percent chance that anyone who has achondroplasia will pass the gene to their kid. Moreover, if both of the parents have this kind of dwarfism, there would be a 25 percent chance of the child being born with an average height. However, there is still another 25 percent chance that the kid will inherit both abnormal genes.
When it comes to Audrey’s fourth child, she explained that there are two types of genes: dominant and recessive genes. She clarified that neither of them carries these genes. So, if her kid is born with dwarfism, it would be a result of a “random genetic mutation.”
So, this made it clear that the possibility of the LPBW couple, Jeremy and Audrey, having a child with dwarfism is equal to any couple of average height having a kid with the same. Moreover, the rest of her three kids also haven’t inherited it. So, it further reduces the chances of such a circumstance.
LPBW: Audrey Plans To Have A HomeBirth For Her Fourth Kid
LPBW star Audrey Roloff already shares three kids with Jeremy. During each of their deliveries, she opted to go to a birth center and didn’t risk anything. But it appears that the matriarch is determined to try giving birth at home this time. Apparently, Audrey recently opened up about her prospects on social media and announced that she wouldn’t be going to a birth center for her fourth child.
As per Audrey, her house would be ready by the time she would have to deliver her child. So, she would welcome her “baby girl” in May in her own renovated house. The celeb even discussed the exact spot where she would give birth. Audrey stated that she hadn’t finalized any place but was thinking of her bathtub.
